Ladakh: is a mountainous, dry area in North India that is well-known as the “land of high mountain passes.” Its chilly desert mountains, gorgeous scenery, appealing monasteries, and flawless rivers make it a popular vacation spot for people all over the world. With an approximate land area of 60,000 square miles (100,000 square kilometers), it is the largest province in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in North India. and on October 31, 2019, it was designated as a Union Territory.

The capital of Ladakh, Leh, is surrounded by some of the world’s highest mountain ranges, including the massive Himalayan, Zanskar, Karakoram, and Ladakh ranges. It is situated 3500 meters above sea level.
